Video interview with Tulane’s Byron Mouton

Last spring, Tulane University architecture professor Byron Mouton, director of the School of Architecture‘s URBANbuild program, was named the inaugural NewDay Professor of Social Entrepreneurship. The honor is a university-wide recognition, endowed by philanthropists Dana & Stanley Day through their foundation.

In this new video, Mouton describes how URBANbuild is helping to reinvigorate lower-income neighborhoods and educate architecture students with real world experience. Among other striking statements, Mouton explains that, “bit by bit, we’re trying to get more people to believe in these places and buy in.”
