We are thrilled to announce, on behalf of the University of Minnesota College of Design, Design Corps, and our other partners, our long-awaited speaker roster for Public Interest Design Week. This includes speakers for our headline event of the week, the thirteenth international Structures for Inclusion conference.
The four keynote speakers for the week, in order of appearance, include Michael Kimmelman, architecture critic of The New York Times; Liz Ogbu of the Center for Art & Public Life at California College of the Arts; Krista Donaldson, CEO of D-Rev: Design Revolution; and William Kamkwamba, best-selling author and TED speaker, among other accolades. We also have seven distinguished leaders to facilitate one- and two-day events such as the Shelter: connect media and storytelling workshop, the Affordable Housing Design Forum, the Public Interest Design Institute training program, and the Iconathon graphic design hackathon. Finally, we have a dozen presenters, including the honorees of the 2013 Social/Economic/Environmental Design (SEEDS) Awards as well as a handful of sponsors who will be giving brief remarks.
